Biomedical Field Service Technician

Location:

Austin, TX

Start Date:

Immediate

Schedule:

On-site, Monday – Friday (Field-Based)

Travel: 100% Travel

Compensation: $65,000 – $75,000 base + overtime

About the Role

Perform calibration and service on biomedical and specialty equipment

Work in a high-autonomy, decentralized environment

Manage your own schedule, customers, and workload

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform field service, calibration, and repair
  • Travel to customer sites daily
  • Manage scheduling and service calls independently
  • Maintain inventory and equipment in company vehicle
  • Communicate with customers and internal team
  • Ensure accurate documentation and compliance
Training

6–12 month ramp-up (more complex equipment)

Includes shadowing and gradual independence

Qualifications
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and learn quickly
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Preferred (Not Required) Technical training, trade school, or engineering background
  • Experience with biomedical or calibration equipment

Travel Details
  • Daily travel within ~2-hour radius (Austin and surrounding areas)
