Job SummaryThe Commercial Door & Hardware Service Technician is responsible for servicing, repairing, adjusting, and installing commercial doors and door hardware in a variety of commercial environments.
Technicians work both independently and with other team members to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that door openings function safely and reliably.
Technicians are trusted to identify problems, recommend solutions, and ensure commercial door openings operate safely and reliably for customers.
Responsibilities- Service and repair commercial doors, frames, and door hardware
- Install and adjust door closers, panic devices, hinges, locks, and related hardware
- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement solutions
- Identify opportunities to improve door safety, functionality, and code compliance while on service calls
- Complete service documentation and job notes
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicles
- Communicate professionally with customers while representing Dorion on job sites
- Follow company procedures and safety standards
Dorion technicians are trusted to operate independently and are expected to maintain professional workmanship, reliability, and strong communication with customers.
Qualifications- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in commercial environments
Experience in any of the following industries is helpful:
- Commercial door and hardware service
- Locksmith or access control systems
- Commercial construction or carpentry
- Facility maintenance or building services
- Mechanical or field service technician roles
Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and construction experience will also be considered.
Schedule- Monday – Friday typical schedule
