Trade Management is currently hiring Commercial DX Pipe fitters for an upcoming commercial construction project in Austin, TX. We are looking for experienced pipe fitters with a strong background in commercial HVAC refrigeration systems who take pride in producing quality work while maintaining a safe jobsite.

Pay: $30.00 - $38.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Start Date: August 24
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift | Overtime Available
Position OverviewThe Commercial DX Pipefitter will install, assemble, and test refrigerant piping systems for commercial HVAC equipment including rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, VRF/VRV systems, and other DX mechanical systems. Candidates must be experienced in copper pipe installation, brazing, pressure testing, and reading commercial mechanical plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesInstall copper refrigerant piping for commercial HVAC systems.
Measure, cut, bend, braze, and assemble copper tubing and fittings.
Install suction, liquid, hot gas, and condensate piping.
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints and piping layouts.
Perform nitrogen purging while brazing to industry standards.
Pressure test refrigerant piping systems and assist with evacuation preparation.
Install pipe supports, hangers, valves, and related HVAC components.
Coordinate work with HVAC installers, sheet metal mechanics, and project supervisors.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
RequirementsMinimum 3 years of commercial DX pipe fitting experience.
Experience installing refrigerant piping on commercial HVAC projects is required.
Strong brazing skills with copper refrigeration piping.
Knowledge of VRF/VRV systems, RTUs, split systems, and commercial HVAC equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and pipe fabrication equipment.
Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions.
OSHA 10 Certification is preferred.
