About This Role Join our crew in Austin as a Building Services Technician specializing in commercial projects. You'll perform facility maintenance, repairs, minor modifications and urgent construction tasks on specialized commercial sites. Work is hands-on and fast-paced; we need dependable carpenters who take pride in clean, correct work. This role suits self-motivated tradespeople with a strong carpentry background, good communication skills, and a commitment to safety and professionalism.
Expect steady commercial assignments, varied tasks each day, and opportunities to troubleshoot and complete high-quality finishes.
What You'll DoPerform general finish and rough carpentry: trim, doors, framing, blocking and millwork installation
Execute facility maintenance and repair work on interior and exterior commercial assets
Complete minor modifications and urgent construction repairs under tight timelines
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and work orders to plan tasks
Measure, cut and fit materials; operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Maintain clean, organized job sites and follow safety protocols at all times
What We're Looking For Proven carpentry background with practical experience in finish and rough carpentry (2+ years preferred)
Able to read blueprints, technical drawings and follow work orders accurately
Knowledge of building codes, construction methods and common commercial materials
Strong verbal and written communication to coordinate with supervisors and other trades
Comfortable using measuring tools, saws, drills and common carpentry equipment
Able to lift, carry and move materials; reliable transportation to Austin job sites
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation OSHA 10 (or OSHA 30 preferred) and ability to pass background/drug screen
Blueprint reading and measuring competency; NCCER or equivalent credentials a plus English required;
Spanish speaker a plus
