Transport & Facilities Technician

We are seeking a Transport & Facilities Technician to support network transport hubs, data centers, colocation sites, and customer locations. This hands-on role focuses on transport equipment, fiber/DWDM systems, facility infrastructure, power systems, and troubleshooting.

• Install, provision, maintain, and troubleshoot transport/MUX equipment,
  DWDM, dark fiber, and network elements.
• Perform fiber installation, cabling, connectivity, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot network alarms,
  transport circuits, and customer outages
  .
• Inspect and maintain batteries, power plants, generators, and facility infrastructure
  .
• Support equipment installations, site maintenance, building issues, and emergency response.
• Coordinate with NOC, Network Engineering, Service Delivery, customers, vendors, and contractors.
• Maintain equipment inventory, documentation, and a safe work environment.
• Perform basic electrical/facility maintenance and elevate issues when contractors are required.
• Travel between assigned sites and provide 24/7 on-call support as needed.

• High School diploma/GED;
  Telecommunications education is a plus.
• 3+ years of telecommunications, network transport, central office, or fiber experience.
• Hands-on experience with fiber, DWDM, MUX/transport equipment, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of DC power systems, batteries, generators, and basic electrical systems preferred.
• Strong communication, troubleshooting, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a hands-on field environment and travel between sites.
