HVAC Service Technician

Service Wizard, a family-owned HVAC company in Austin, TX, is hiring an HVAC Service Technician. In this role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial heating, cooling, and indoor air quality systems. Responsibilities include performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting service calls, explaining findings and options to customers, and completing accurate service documentation. You'll uphold high standards of safety, craftsmanship, and professionalism while working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on heating, cooling, and IAQ equipment
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot system issues on-site
• Explain repair findings, options, and recommendations to customers
• Install replacement parts and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations accurately
• Follow company and industry safety standards, codes, and best practices
• Maintain a clean work area, tools, vehicle, and professional appearance
• Collaborate with dispatch and team members to manage daily schedule
• Provide courteous, trustworthy service that builds long-term customer relationships
