Plumber

Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical is seeking a skilled Plumber to join our Construction - Skilled Labor team. Responsibilities include installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems for residential and commercial projects, reading blueprints, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring code compliance and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Travel to residential customer homes to diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems and fixtures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and code compliance
• Perform service, maintenance, and replacement of piping, fixtures, water heaters, valves, and related residential plumbing components
• Use appropriate tools and diagnostic methods to identify leaks, clogs, low pressure, and other plumbing issues, providing clear repair options to customers
• Install and commission new fixtures and equipment such as faucets, toilets, sinks, disposals, water heaters, and water filtration systems
• Educate homeowners on system operation, maintenance best practices, and options for improving efficiency, reliability, and safety
• Document work performed, parts used, and recommendations using company software and mobile applications in a clear and timely manner
• Collaborate with dispatch, customer service, and other field technicians to manage daily schedules, respond to priority calls, and ensure on-time arrival to appointments
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and local, state, and national plumbing codes on every job site
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and inventory of commonly used parts, tools, and materials
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with modern plumbing technologies, tools, codes, and best practices, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
• Represent Abacus Plumbing, Air Conditioning and Electrical professionally by providing courteous, respectful, and transparent service to every customer

Required Skills

• Residential plumbing installation and repair
• Diagnostic troubleshooting of plumbing systems
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
• Use of plumbing tools and equipment (press tools, pipe threaders, inspection cameras, leak detectors)
• Soldering, brazing, and pipe fitting (copper, PEX, PVC, cast iron)
