Heavy Equipment Mechanic

EzBel Construction, a leader in home renovations and large-scale construction projects, is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our engineering and maintenance team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy machinery used in construction projects, ensuring peak operational efficiency and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work on equipment
• Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
• Maintain service logs and records of maintenance on all equipment
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members to coordinate maintenance and document equipment status

Required Skills

• Proven experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electronic systems
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including working outdoors, at heights, and in noisy environments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
