The Field Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Austin, TX. and surrounding areas. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment at residential and commercial customer locations. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting electrical issues, performing inspections, testing systems for safety and compliance, and documenting work performed. The technician will interact with customers on-site, explain findings and solutions, and ensure all work meets company standards and local codes.

The role also involves preparing materials, following safety procedures, coordinating with the office on scheduling, and supporting other team members on larger projects.

• Strong technical skills in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair, including reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience with troubleshooting electrical issues, using testing tools, and ensuring compliance with relevant electrical codes and safety standards.
• Customer service and communication skills to explain work clearly, respond to questions, and maintain professional on-site interactions.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and complete tasks with attention to detail and quality.
• Physical ability to perform on-site work, including standing, lifting, climbing, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.
• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an electrical apprenticeship, trade school program, or relevant certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for travel to job sites in the Austin, TX area.
• Prior experience as an electrician or field service technician is beneficial; familiarity with both residential and commercial projects is a plus.
