Position Information Responsibilities- Implement field efforts to collect data from wildlife on sponsored projects.
- Collate, curate, and analyze data collected in field related to pathogens from feral swine in livestock, wildlife, environment, etc.
- Maintain field equipment and prepare reports.
- Trap, handle, and/or euthanize captured wild animals.
- Operate and maintain safety in all operations of agency vehicles and/or equipment, including firearms.
- Work beyond normal business and/or work on weekends as needed.
Coordinate and Assist Internal and External Research Partners
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Management or closely related field.
- 4 Years relevant experience.
- Operation of off-road vehicles and equipment.
- Use of firearms to euthanize wild animals.
- Safe conduct of animal trapping.
- Use of computers to enter data.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must lift heavy objects and exert heavy force.
- Ability to obtain Class C Driver's License
- License to Carry Firearm
Salary:
Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate's qualifications.
Position Funding:
This position is grant funded and availability is contingent on grant funding.
