Help Build Austin’s Next Great Pest Control Company

Bugged Pest Control is a startup residential pest-control company launching in the Austin market. We’re looking for an experienced, licensed applicator to become our Responsible Certified Applicator and the founding member of our field team.

You’ll initially serve as both the company’s RCA and primary pest-control technician. You’ll service our first customers, establish treatment standards, improve operating procedures, and shape how Bugged delivers service from day one.

As we add customers and technicians, this position is intended to grow into field leadership, technician training, quality control, and operations management. We want someone who can help build—and eventually lead—the team.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as Bugged’s designated Responsible Certified Applicator after completion of the required licensing process.
  • Work as the company’s primary technician during its initial growth stage.
  • Inspect residential properties, identify pest activity, recommend appropriate solutions, and perform recurring and one-time treatments within authorized service categories.
  • Help select products, equipment, treatment methods, and application protocols.
  • Develop and improve service procedures, treatment standards, vehicle-stock requirements, and quality-control processes.
  • Oversee safe pesticide handling, storage, transportation, application, and disposal.
  • Complete accurate service records, pesticide-use documentation, customer notes, photographs, and follow-up tasks.
  • Maintain the assigned vehicle, equipment, products, inventory, PPE, and field supplies.
  • Deliver a professional, premium customer experience at every property.
  • Identify appropriate opportunities for recurring service, upgrades, and approved add-on services.
  • Train and supervise apprentices and technicians as the field team grows, including required in-person instruction and training documentation.
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, service-record reviews, and quality inspections.
  • Support licensing, renewals, TDA inspections, and corrective actions.
  • Help recruit, onboard, and develop future technicians.
  • Progress toward managing the day-to-day field operation.

You’ll work directly with the founder and have the authority to stop unsafe or noncompliant work.

Professionalism Matters

We are building a premium service company, and professionalism is not negotiable.

The right person:

  • Arrives on time and prepared.
  • Does what they say they will do.
  • Communicates early when a problem arises.
  • Follows through without needing repeated reminders.
  • Treats customers, coworkers, vehicles, equipment, and homes with respect.
  • Maintains a clean and professional appearance.
  • Takes responsibility for mistakes and helps solve them.
  • Can be trusted to represent Bugged when the founder is not physically present.

Dependability is every bit as important as technical ability. We need someone who can be counted on as the company’s first field leader.

Compensation and Growth
  • $55,000–$80,000 annual base salary, based on licensing, experience, leadership background, and demonstrated capabilities.
  • Commission on qualifying new…
