Part-Time Hourly, FLSA Classification:
Non-Exempt
Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Travis County. Advocate position available.
Responsibilities- Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
- Primary responsibilities to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
- All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
- This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay and activity reimbursement.
$21.00 per hour.
Qualifications/Requirements- Minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Prior experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
- Experience working with at-risk youth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- CPR/First Aid Certification is a plus.
- Must be comfortable with home visits and have reliable transportation.
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking is a plus.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
