Job SummaryWork in a dynamic, short‑term residential treatment program to help support stabilization and continuity of care for adult individuals experiencing a crisis episode. As a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) you will serve clients in a residential setting, providing peer support for clients working on ongoing stabilization with therapeutic interventions, relapse prevention services, and facilitating transition and linkage for continuity of care.
You will assist with guiding and coordinating clients’ treatment planning, include their desired goals and identified tasks for self‑care through lived experience and applicable skill sets. You will work alongside the multi‑disciplinary team staff to comply with contract criteria, agency guidelines, and program requirements, and collaborate with the Program Manager and other partners to continually assess, develop, and refine the service delivery system to support clients’ success, offering optimal resources with compassion and evidence‑based practices.
Other duties may be assigned; regular, predictable attendance is essential and a flexible work schedule may be required.
Provide peer support and relapse prevention services; facilitate transition and linkage for continuity of care; guide and coordinate clients’ treatment planning; collaborate with multi‑disciplinary team and Program Manager; assess and refine service delivery; maintain a trauma‑sensitive workplace; foster a supportive environment.
QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Current and valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Peer Specialist Supervisor Certification (PSS).
Work Hours & CompensationFull‑time, Monday–Friday, 6:00 PM–10:00 PM.
Salary: $21.66 per hour, plus an additional 18% crisis stipend.
Eligible for additional shift differential pay:
- Second Shift: $3.25 per hour.
- Third Shift: $7.25 per hour.
- Weekend Shift: $8.00 per hour.
