Housing Opportunities for Musicians and Entertainers (HOME) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting aging Austin musicians through housing stability, emergency financial assistance, and access to essential social services. Founded by members of Austin’s music community, HOME is deeply rooted in preserving the cultural legacy of the artists who built this city’s sound while ensuring they can age with dignity, security, and connection.
Position OverviewHOME seeks a compassionate, highly organized Program Coordinator, Client Services to lead and operate the organization’s client services program. This full-time, hands-on position serves as both HOME’s primary case manager and program coordinator, functioning as a one-person department responsible for the day-to-day delivery, administration, and continuous improvement of client services.
The Program Coordinator oversees all aspects of case management, coordinates supportive services, manages program logistics and documentation, and serves as the primary point of contact for HOME’s aging musician clients. This role requires balancing direct client support with program administration, data tracking, reporting, and partnership management.
The Program Coordinator plays a central role in advancing HOME’s mission by delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services; strengthening relationships with housing providers, healthcare partners, and social service agencies; ensuring compliance and accurate recordkeeping; and representing HOME at community and organizational events. The position also serves as the primary staff liaison to the Client Services Committee and works closely with the Executive Director to maintain program quality, consistency, and continuity of care.
This role requires regular in-person engagement with clients, participation in HOME events, and close collaboration with leadership, volunteers, and community partners. As HOME’s sole dedicated client services staff member, the Program Coordinator must be adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities Client Services & Case Management- Provide client-centered, trauma-informed case management services to aging musicians.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to assess well-being, identify emerging needs, and develop individualized support plans.
- Assist clients in navigating and accessing public benefits and community-based resources, including housing assistance, healthcare, food support, utility relief, transportation services, and HOME’s annual grant renewal process.
- Advocate on behalf of clients with service providers, landlords, and partner agencies.
- Coordinate wraparound services to address clients’ short- and long‑term needs.
