Director of Club Operations

An ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Boys & Girls Club management experience, or in a similar youth development program. They should be highly organized and detail oriented, able to effectively communicate and work well with others in a team capacity, work with a sense of urgency, especially under pressure and tight deadlines, and be ready to roll up their sleeves and jump in when needed.

• Four-year degree from an accredited college or university
• Minimum of three years previous management experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar youth development organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people.
• Ability to communicate ideas effectively to the public.
• Ability to deal effectively with members in all types of situations, including discipline problems.
• Demonstrated ability in working with colleagues, youth, parents, and community leaders.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management

• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions—hot, cold, rainy, etc.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of working with children.
• Ability to move equipment up to 25 pounds.

Directs the club-wide operations at assigned locations/programs. Plans, develops, oversees implementation and supervises programs and program staff, and performs related administrative duties.

• Plans and oversees the administration of club-wide programs and activities that support the Boys & Girls Clubs of America's Youth Development Strategy:
• Implement objectives consistent with organizational goals and mission.
• Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards
