Summary

Community Engagement Specialists (CES) spend part of their time staffing the front desk to answer questions, assist with problem‑solving, and connect residents to resources. However, much of the role takes place throughout the shelter, as CES move across the site to facilitate activities and events, support daily operations, and stay engaged with residents of the shelter. Because the work happens across the entire shelter environment, CES spend substantial amount of time outside and must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions.
