SAFE Alliance seeks a Campus Safety Specialist for Operations program in the Operations department. The Campus Safety Specialist will provide floating support across SAFE campuses, by way of completing routine campus check-ins, checkpoint patrols, observing and reporting safety concerns and supporting SAFE programs with regard to incidents or hazards impacting the safety of SAFE staff, clients and visitors. This role will also serve as the on-site safety contact, to support with and elevate response, while maintaining a calm, professional and trauma-informed approach.

The Campus Safety Specialist will play a critical role in ongoing safety coordination, while providing feedback that support continuous improvement of safety practices.

We are looking for 2 peopleto work on a Full-time, non-exempt basis for an hourly salaryof $24.00 - $25.00 dependent upon experience. The work location will be based atall major SAFE Alliance Campuses in the Austin Metroplex.

This position will include some travel in the community or between campuses and SOME travel in the community or between campuses with no ability for remote/hybrid work.

This position is considered an essential staff position. Positions are overnight, daytime and evening shifts on Saturday and Sunday. This position has no on-call requirement.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Equivalent work experience in operations, direct service, community advocacy, nonprofit programming, safety, or related fields may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations, direct service, community resources, safety, advocacy, case management, or related work.
  • Experience working in nonprofit, residential, shelter, social service, or trauma-informed service environments preferred.
  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, homeless populations, individuals with disabilities, or other vulnerable groups preferred.
  • Experience with data tracking systems, incident reporting tools, or campus documentation systems preferred.
