Requirements Must have:
- 8 – 12+ years of experience in Linux OS, device drivers, or related system technologies on Arm-based platforms
- Proven architect-level expertise in designing integral components of Linux OS or solutions that heavily interact with the Linux OS kernel on Arm-based platforms
- Deep understanding of Linux OS components, with the ability to optimize for power/performance and extensive experience with code profiling tools
- Background in writing low-level device drivers and knowledge of optimizing code for key execution metrics and code maintenance/support
- Development proficiency in C, C++, and C#, as well as a strong grasp of software update technologies
- Typically 8 – 12+ years of related experience in a professional capacity with a Bachelors degree; or 6+ years with a Masters degree; or 3+ years with a PhD; or comparable experience
- Proven experience in contributing to open-source projects, specifically within significant platforms such as the Linux kernel and GNOME.
- Spearhead the front-end and next-generation platform strategy by defining requirements and architectures for upcoming releases – Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the CTO, System Architects, Product Marketing, and Front-End Core Teams, to ensure alignment on platform objectives – Lead engagement with industry partners through forums, early collaboration with third-party developers, and open-source initiatives within the Linux community – Assess the technical impact and innovation by evaluating Linux OS implications for BIOS, firmware, and application software, promoting patent opportunities and developing conceptual code – Collect and refine project requirements utilizing industry insights and NUDD analysis to create proof-of-concept models and maintain alignment during initial project phases.
