Technical Lead, Software Development, Software Engineer

We’re hiring a hands-on Engineering Lead who wants to stay close to the code while owning some of the most important technical problems in the business. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who enjoys building, architecting, and mentoring, without stepping away into people management.

You’ll work closely with the CTO and Chief Product Officer to turn strategy into execution, helping scale a high-traffic, distributed platform used by tens of thousands of businesses and reaching hundreds of millions of viewers each month.

This is a role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes extreme ownership, and leads by example through code.

• Write significant production code across backend, infrastructure, data, and frontend systems
• Architect and deliver scalable, AWS-native distributed systems
• Tackle complex problems with unclear or evolving requirements
• Guide other engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical decisions
• Partner with product, design, data, and business teams to own delivery end-to-end
• Influence technical direction, tooling, and engineering best practices
• Reverse-engineer and improve existing systems where needed

• 6+ years building and shipping customer-facing software
• Strong hands-on coding ability (expect 50–70% of your time in code)
• Experience designing and scaling distributed systems
• Comfortable leading technically without formal people management
• Strong system design and full-stack understanding
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and containerized applications
• Clear communicator who can work closely with senior leadership
• Bias toward simplicity, ownership, and execution

• Data warehouse and analytics experience with Snowflake, dbt, or Sigma
