Engineer, Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX(Hybrid) . The candidate must have strong expertise in designing and optimizing high-throughput Java microservices using Spring Boot, Redis, Kafka, and Mongo

DB to ensure scalable and zero-downtime systems.

Rate Range: $48/hour to $51/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize high-throughput microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Redis, Kafka, and Mongo
  
  DB for zero-downtime performance.
• Drive the full application lifecycle by implementing performance tuning techniques such as JVM optimization, memory profiling, and automated testing.
• Architect and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS clusters, Docker containers, and Helm-based deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Maven, and Git to ensure seamless, automated, and repeatable deployments.
• Configure and optimize Nginx for load balancing and traffic management to maintain system reliability and high availability.
• Utilize monitoring tools like Splunk for proactive analysis, troubleshooting, and end-to-end system visibility across distributed environments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant experience in Java backend development, microservices architecture, performance engineering, and cloud-native deployments.
• Strong capability to design and optimize high-throughput, distributed systems with hands-on expertise in Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, and Mongo
  
  DB.
• Proven ability to manage AWS-based Kubernetes environments, implement CI/CD pipelines, and conduct deep performance tuning across complex production systems.

Pay Details: $48.00 to $51.00 per hour
