System Firmware Test Engineer

Our client, a leading technology organization specializing in enterprise server solutions, is seeking a System Firmware Test Engineer to join their team. As a System Firmware Test Engineer, you will be part of the Firmware Quality Assurance department supporting the validation and testing of firmware for high-performance server platforms. Job Title: System Firmware Test Engineer

Location: Austin, TX

• Partner with firmware architects and validation engineers to understand new firmware features and system interactions.
• Define and implement comprehensive platform-level test strategies to validate firmware functionality during boot and runtime.
• Develop detailed regression test cases and procedures aligned with automation and continuous integration practices.
• Conduct test execution, debug issues related to firmware, platform, and automation, and collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
• Contribute to test strategy development, coverage analysis, and test infrastructure improvements to enhance validation efficiency.

• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in firmware or software development and validation.
• Knowledge of pre- and post-silicon firmware/system test environments.
• Strong debugging skills at the SoC and system level.
• Experience with computer architecture concepts and enterprise server platform features.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and scripting languages like Python or Perl.
