Notes
A total of five vacancies are available. This position may be filled at a higher-level title, relative to experience and qualifications of the selected candidate. Relocation assistance may be available.
Responsibilities- Conducts software development for novel semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
- Assists in researching and procurement of various equipment sub-systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong software development skills in a variety of languages, including C, C++, Python, or some other combination of low-level and high-level languages.
- Expertise with MATLAB, Simulink, or related control and simulation software.
- Strong understanding of software structure, architectural design, and object-oriented programming, as well as build systems, revision control, and software lifecycle management.
- Experience writing and working with software requirements and specifications.
- Five years experience in software engineering or other relevant disciplines.
- Goal-oriented and ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working in a research or start-up environment.
- Prior experience in software development for hardware control and instrumentation.
$120,000 + depending on qualifications
Working Conditions- Work is performed on-site in a scientific research environment, with dynamic work conditions and frequent interruptions.
- Work outside standard office hours could be required on an occasional basis during peak periods and special events.
