HIRING:
Python / Django Architect | Principal Backend Developer - (Fin Tech / Payments)

This role offers the chance to modernize legacy systems and contribute to the next generation of payments infrastructure. They are seeking a player-coach who is practical and pragmatic, willing to dive into gnarly legacy systems and bridge the old to the new. They believe that the person they hire will likely have 9+ years of software engineering experience including 2 or more as a Staff+ level dev / Architect.

They are looking for someone with deep professional Python and Django experience.

• 9+ years of software engineering experience (this is a true Senior/Staff/Principal level role)
• 4+ years of Python and Django Architectural experience (you will be the team s architect for a Django-based modular monolith)
• Background in fraud, fintech, or other transactional adjacent systems is highly preferred
• Experience designing data models in production systems

Note:

By 6 months, a successful hire will transition from identifying issues to implementing improvements and collaborating with leadership on technical enhancement and then by 1 year you will likely lead efforts to restructure and modernize the payments platform.

NO this is not an on site role. This actually isn t even hybrid. This is a fully remote role with lots of their Engineers in EST and across the country. Priority is to find real candidates who are qualified, regardless of posted location. Apply if you are not in the posted area or if you are open to remote (US) roles.

The salary target for this role is $180,000 – $215,000 depending on experience.
