Senior Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Software Developer to help design, build, and own software that powers regulated medical devices used in real clinical environments.

This role is for someone who has seen systems in production, understands trade-offs, and is comfortable taking technical ownership, from architecture decisions through deployment and long-term support.

• Technical ownership of backend systems built in Python
• Design and implementation of services, APIs, and data pipelines
• Development of robust applications using Type Script (Node.js and/or modern frontend frameworks)
• Collaboration with hardware, firmware, product, and QA teams to deliver compliant, production-ready software
• Making architectural decisions with reliability, security, and scalability in mind
• Improving existing systems, reducing technical debt, and raising engineering standards
• Mentoring junior engineers and influencing best practices across the team

• 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Deep, hands‑on experience with Python in production systems
• Strong experience with Type Script in real‑world applications
• Experience designing and owning systems end-to-end
• Ability to work on‑site in Austin (hybrid flexibility may be available)

• Experience with medical devices, healthcare software, or FDA‑regulated environments
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and automated testing
• Experience working closely with hardware or embedded teams
