Senior Software Engineer - Series

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing Series A startup in Austin that is using modern software and AI to reinvent a centuries-old, waste-intensive industry.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with clients, often on site, to design and build data-driven software solutions using Python on the backend and modern front-end frameworks like React and Vue. Instead of working through layers of bureaucracy, you will launch new features and products into production regularly, with a strong focus on outcomes and real-world value.

You will make an impact from day 1, owning projects end to end, from scoping and design through to deployment. You’ll even get to work on AI models, some which combine hardware and computer vision – great opportunity to experiment and broaden your skillset. Your work will involve building and delivering bespoke software and data tools directly for clients, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.

As you will be working across the full stack, you need to have the ability to switch easily between Python backend development, front end work, and liaising with key stakeholders.

This role will be idea for those who love travel, you will be working with clients across Texas and the wider United States with plenty of opportunities to see the impact of your work firsthand (up to 30/40% of your time will be spent on client sites).
