Position: Staff Software Engineer

Role Responsibilities

Omni-Channel Integration services (OIS) are cross-domain orchestration APIs designed to deliver consistent behavior across diverse customer‑facing channels. By abstracting channel‑specific complexities, OIS ensures seamless integration and unified experiences, regardless of the interface. As a Staff Software Engineer in the Integrations Engineering team, your primary responsibility is to create a consistent and seamless integration while mentoring and providing help to junior developers.

  • Lead work on innovative, actionable and efficient technology solutions to drive Microservices development using Java Spring Boot framework and other API enhancements on the middleware platforms for the assigned region.
  • Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems throughout all phases of the software development process.
  • Demonstrate strong capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
  • Execute success through diligent planning, attention to detail, effective delegation, and efficient decision‑making.
  • Interface and collaborate with other engineers in geographically distributed development centers.
  • Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.
  • Develop technical & domain expertise and apply in solving product challenges.
  • Thorough code reviews.
  • Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and roll out applications with cross‑functional and cross‑regional impacts.
  • Share engineering support and release.
  • Be a culture champion on the team and across the company.

Role Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in computer science or related fields with 8+ years of professional experience or master’s with 6+ years of experience. Equivalent work experience.
  • Strong technical skills in architecture patterns, solutions design & development.
  • Proven ability to understand business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements.
  • Hands‑on experience in designing and building microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment and adapt to changing business priorities and to thrive under pressure.
  • Excellent decision‑making, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Strong hands‑on experience building applications using Java, Spring Boot framework, Postgres or similar databases, multithreading, serialization, externalization, collections, etc.
  • Ability to lead technology projects and mentor junior associates.
  • Experience in Core Banking systems and integrations a plus.
  • Experience with J2EE technologies, Dev Ops tools, XML, web technologies, web services.
  • Experience with APIs, REST/JSON, microservices, observability frameworks (eg. Dynatrace).
  • Someone with a proven track record of writing high quality, efficient code to build new microservices that orchestrate various system functionalities.
  • Experience solving functional product needs by effectively leveraging open‑source technologies.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies with TDD and CI/CD.
  • Proven ability to understand the business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements.
  • Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks.
  • Ability to evaluate business needs and achieve alignment among stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for managing both direct and indirect talent effectively.
