Software Engineer

Hybrid, On-Site and Telework (Must live in Austin TX area)

Senior Power BI Developer for the SCOR EI initiative. Responsible for updating SCOR Java applications, including business logic, UI, and reporting capabilities to Power BI and the system data model. Supports application enhancements and defect corrections in maintenance mode across multiple environments. Performs coding, testing, peer reviews, documentation, defect root cause analysis, and troubleshooting. Maintains code coverage, testing, and security policies.

Available for on-call support as needed. Other duties as assigned and required by the unit operations.

• 8+ years of experience
• 8+ years experience with Power BI
• 8+ years experience writing SQL for relational databases
• 8+ years experience with RESTful web services on Spring platform
• 4+ years experience with JUnit and unit test development

• Preferred: 4+ years experience with Angular UI Framework
• Preferred: Experience with Crystal Reports

Note: Expected Start Date 04/13/2026 and Expected End Date 08/31/2026. May be renewed up to 3 years.

This position is Hybrid, On-Site and Telework
. Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA (Within 50-mile radius). Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thursdays, Fridays) required to be on-site in Austin, TX 78751.

Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed. The worker may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested.
