About The Role

We are hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager to join our Game Development Experience team in Austin. This role will be focused on delivering solutions that enhance the quality of AI assistance to our game teams.

These roles offer the opportunity to drive innovations that improve the ability for EA's developers to make great games and products. You will have the chance to work with game teams across the entire organization, including FC, Madden, Battlefield, The Sims, Apex Legends, and central teams such as Frostbite.

You should have a strong focus on problem‑solving that leverages your technical background and experience to empathize with your customers and design product enhancements to improve their experience. You will operate within a single team but collaborate closely with engineering leaders, game directors, and developers across game teams. You are expected to combine strong technical depth, sharp product judgment, and disciplined execution.

You must be comfortable reviewing architecture proposals, challenging trade‑offs, and working as a peer to senior engineers.

Location: Texas, 6 months contract (Hybrid)

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the product vision and roadmaps for EA internally used products across adjacent developer platform capabilities, aligned to studio and platform strategy.
  • Understand internal customer pain points (EA game developers) and translate them into prioritized, outcome‑driven requirements informed by research and competitive analysis.
  • Balance scalability, security, usability, and developer productivity, ensuring roadmap decisions are grounded in measurable business and developer impact.
  • Partner deeply with engineering leaders to understand system architecture, performance trade‑offs, and scalable platform services; translate complex technical initiatives into clear execution plans.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the game development lifecycle and identify SDLC friction points to enhance developer experience.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, design, and studio stakeholders to validate solutions, align priorities, and drive adoption through clear communication and enablement.
  • Define and track success metrics tied to adoption, efficiency, reliability, and developer satisfaction; ensure instrumentation and telemetry are embedded from the outset.
  • Leverage AI tools operationally to improve product management efficiency and identify opportunities to reduce manual workflows and enhance developer enablement.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in platform, infrastructure, or developer‑facing products.
  • Experience defining, owning and driving product initiatives, ideally in technically oriented or platform‑focused areas.
  • Strong technical foundation, including familiarity with APIs, microservices, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and general software development lifecycle, with the ability to confidently engage in technical discussion and understand system architecture.
  • Prior experience using AI tools to support day‑to‑day work.
  • Prior experience partnering closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
  • Data‑informed approach to decision‑making, including defining success metrics and using insights to guide priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thrives in working with both technical and non‑technical partners.
  • Experience driving results across product, engineering, and studio teams in multi‑org or‑team environments.
