Software Engineer (Backend Engineer – Python)

We are seeking a seasoned backend engineer with expertise in Python to design, develop, and maintain robust web services. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers and cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver high quality solutions for Fortune 500 customers.

• Estimate, plan, and implement software development work.
• Work closely with product manager to gather requirements and build new modules or improve existing ones.
• Evaluate, maintain, and improve existing code base to ensure proper structure and use of engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and research reported issues, providing recommendations.

• 6+ years of experience designing and developing web services applications.
• Strong experience providing and consuming RESTful APIs (JSON, OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Proficiency with modern Python frameworks (FastAPI/Flask, SQL Alchemy Core, Pydantic, Httpx, Alembic, Pytest, Ruff, Pyright).
• Experience with relational database data modeling and writing complex SQL queries (Postgre
  
  SQL).
• Strong experience with Git, bug tracking, and team collaboration.
• Basic understanding of containerization and Dev Ops (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, CI/CD).
• Experience with data engineering (ETL, data warehouses) is a plus.
• Excellent debugging, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Self‑directed, analytical, collaborative, and eager to learn.
• Experience working with PMs, designers, and developers across disciplines.

• Set engineering vision and direction for existing and future applications.
• Stay on top of new technologies and tools and adopt relevant ones within the team.
• Accountable for meeting assigned project objectives and timelines.

$100,000 – $115,000 per annum.

• Role is considered on‑site located in Cupertino, CA, USA.
• You must be able to commute to the location using your own transportation.
• Work may involve extensive walking and lifting up to 40 lbs.
