Job Description

Consumer Digital Experiences (CDE) delivers high‑quality web and mobile platforms for consumer engagement with GM brands. The Loyalty tech team builds GM's loyalty platforms with award‑winning earn/redeem experiences. This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on the overall web and integration design and development for the GM Loyalty product range.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and generate technical solutions including specifying requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, development and testing for current, new and major programs.
  • Understand and validate integration requirements.
  • Lead development of software system team design content and address software anomalies.
  • Perform complex design analysis.
  • Create high‑level and low‑level design documents that meet client requirements, standards, and best practices.
  • Design, develop, install, configure, and deploy APIs on the Mule Soft platform integrating with Salesforce.
  • Develop, install, configure, and deploy microservices using .NET Core and UI code.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring to execution teams for development and integration.
  • Communicate and support common best practices among the software community.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert for at least one platform or application component.
  • Write automated unit test cases providing acceptable code coverage.
  • Perform and provide support for deployment and post go‑live activities.
  • Assist in configuring Mule Soft and Azure environments.
  • Conduct in‑depth code reviews to optimize resource utilization and capabilities.
  • Participate in interviews.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands‑on Mule Soft experience including Data Weave (Mule 4.x preferred).
  • 5+ years of development experience with .NET technologies and deep knowledge of .NET Core, Microservices, JSON, XML, SOAP, Azure Event Hub, Sonar or equivalent code quality tool, Git Hub, Git Hub Advanced Security, etc.
  • Experience architecting, designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications on cloud.
  • Good to have familiarity with other integration platforms such as Azure API Management.
  • Strong knowledge of REST architectural style and web standards (JSON, CORS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of modern relational databases and data access frameworks.
  • Strong command of object‑oriented design principles and prevailing design patterns.
  • Strong Dev Ops background in creating and maintaining enterprise‑wide solutions.
  • Experience with Enterprise Integration patterns and design patterns.
  • Working knowledge of application security technologies such as OAuth2, Open Id Connect, SSO, SAML, etc.
  • Experience with Dev Sec Ops , CI/CD, Agile, TDD, unit testing and mocking frameworks.
  • Strong mentorship skills promoting a learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on Azure Cloud experience on company or client projects.
  • Experience with Angular or React for front‑end web development is a plus.
  • Experience with Java development and microservices using Spring Boot.
  • Experience with Salesforce specifically in the context of Mule Soft integrations.
