Apex Fintech Solutions is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering to join our team. You will play a pivotal role in leading our Ascend Account Transfers engineering team and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and managers to deliver cutting edge projects that shape the future of our industry. This is not just a people management role; it's an opportunity to lead with vision, influence, and strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will wear multiple hats from strategic planning and risk management to hands‑on design, architecture, and execution of software development initiatives, empowering you to make a significant impact on our delivery outcomes and company growth. You will work with highly talented software engineers where your leadership will inspire teams, foster collaboration and drive innovation, creating a culture of excellence that echoes throughout the organization.

• Lead and manage engineering initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as product managers and business users to define scope, objectives and deliverables while managing your engineering team throughout the product life cycle.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, retrospectives, PI Planning and promote continuous improvement.
• Identify and mitigate risks and proactively address issues to avoid delays.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for project and engineering updates and reporting, ensuring transparency and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with various teams to ensure resource availability and prioritization of work.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of experience managing technology projects (SaaS, Infrastructure, and/or software development), ideally in a Financial Services (Fin Tech) and/or Technology firm.
• 2+ years of experience as a people manager.
• Proven expertise in Agile Development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and project management tools (Jira, Confluence).

• Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross‑functional teams.
• Expertise in fault‑tolerant, self‑healing system design, high‑availability services, and handling high‑throughput with real‑time data processing.
• Proficiency in cloud‑based (GCP) backend systems and micro‑service architecture to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Solid understanding of Dev Ops principles with hands‑on experience in CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Understanding of security best practices for APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure.
• Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills to navigate complexities and deliver effective solutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with financial systems, trading and accounting concepts, and compliance within regulated environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
