Overview
TDHCA is initiating a project to implement the Centralized Accounting and Payroll/Personnel System (“CAPPS”) version of People Soft Financials (“CAPPS Financials”) as a Hub agency, which means that TDHCA will install the latest version of CAPPS Financials (People Soft Financials 9.2, People Tools 8.55.11, with State of Texas modifications included) in TDHCA’s server environment and interface with Office of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts (“CPA”) systems.
TDHCA currently uses the State of Texas version of People Soft Financials 8.8 and People Tools 8.49. As part of the agency’s CAPPS Financials project, TDHCA will migrate data from 8.8 to 9.2 and reimplement TDHCA-specific modifications in 9.2.
- Perform analysis, programming services, system and report development and enhancements, interface development, and data migration in support of the TDHCA CAPPS Financials 9.2 implementation.
- Develop software using People Code, People Tools (including Application Designer and Application Engine), SQR, SQL, COBOL, and Oracle.
- Communicate effectively with high‑quality writing skills and work well in a project team environment, maintaining a polite, positive attitude and a focus on customer service.
- Perform other reasonable services as necessary to ensure successful project completion.
- 5 years experience with People Code, People Tools (including Application Designer and Application Engine), SQR, SQL, and COBOL.
- 4 years People Soft Financials implementation and/or upgrade experience, including software development of Accounts Payable and Purchasing modules.
- 4 years experience with Oracle.
- 4 years experience with Unix, Korn Shell, and data migration.
- 4 years excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
- 1 year experience developing in a People Soft 9.2 environment.
- 1 year experience developing reports with Crystal Reports and BI Publisher.
- Four‑year college degree with a major in Computer Science or a related degree.
- 2 years experience with projects and software development involving CAPPS Financials.
