AI Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an AI Engineer for a Contract with a client in Austin, TX (Hybrid). The ideal candidate with a strong backend foundation in Python, APIs, and cloud infrastructure, responsible for building and maintaining scalable ML-driven backend services .

Rate Range: $53/hour to $56/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

AI Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python, APIs, and cloud infrastructure to support AI/ML services.
• Build, train, and optimize machine learning models and end-to-end training pipelines for production use.
• Integrate ML models into applications by developing ML-based features and services.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Work independently while contributing to and integrating with an existing engineering team and codebase.
• Ensure code quality, performance, and reliability through testing, monitoring, and documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 8-10 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering or related backend development roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in backend development with Python, APIs, and cloud-based infrastructure, along with hands-on experience in ML model development and deployment.
• Proven ability to work independently as a contractor while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams using modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, Tensor Flow, scikit-learn).

Pay Details: $53.00 to $56.00 per hour
