** Cadence Design Systems is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to work with the Modus R&D engineering team in the Front-End Design business unit. You will be part of a team responsible for designing, developing, debugging and supporting Design-for-Test software. Development responsibilities will include software development in the area of VLSI Design Automation focusing on Design-for-Test logic insertion and verification.

Position Requirements :
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:
• MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
• Proficient in C/C++
• Excellent programming and software engineering skills
• Excellence in algorithm and data structure design
• Proficiency in digital logic design
• Experience with UNIX and/or LINUX platforms is preferred
• Knowledge of Design-for-Test techniques is preferred
• Familiarity with Hardware Description Languages (Verilog or VHDL) is a plus
• Strong ability to learn
• Strong analysis and problem solving skills
• Prior experience with large software development projects is highly recommended
• Good communication skill is preferred as the development team is distributed
* The annual salary range for California is $196,000 to $364,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
