Client requires the services of one (1) Software Engineer 2 – Java. The role involves:

• Defining and developing low‑level design documents; contributing to and following software engineering best practices to create robust and standardized solutions.
• Working closely with business analysis and project management in executing assigned development work.
• Participating in design and development activities for existing and new components.
• Performing full stack development, including database, services, web applications, and front‑end development using various programming languages and frameworks.
• Writing scalable and highly available code by following design principles and software engineering best practices.
• Performing code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, test case automation, continuous integration, and related activities.
• Identifying, investigating, and resolving production problems in a timely manner based on priority.
• Coordinating with technical and functional testing analysts and leading meetings to elicit project details and document requirements.
• Collaborating with PMO, CTO, and Systems Development Resources to prioritize work and develop recommendations, options, and alternatives.

• 12 years required - Professional experience in software engineering.
• 10 years required - Hands‑on experience in Front End/UI development, enhancing and maintaining enterprise‑class applications on the J2EE application platform.
• 6 years required - Hands‑on development experience implementing applications utilizing any J2EE application server, authentication and authorization, caching strategies.
• 5 years required - Hands‑on experience in writing code with front‑end development.
• 4 years required - Expert in one or more of Angular Framework, AJAX, Bootstrap (3 or
  4).
• 4 years required - Experience in IBM Web Sphere Server deployments.
• 4 years required - Experience in Web Logic Application Server deployments.
• 3 years required - Experience with user journey mapping, storyboarding, creating mockups and wireframes, application usability design, fast prototyping, and proof‑of‑concept development.
• 3 years required - Expert in responsive and progressive web application development.
• 4 years preferred - Experience in SOAP or RESTful web services.
• 4 years preferred - Working knowledge of code version control using SVN or Git or Maven, Liberty and Jira.
• 4 years preferred - Technical documentation including design documents, standards, and configuration plans.
• 4 years preferred - Working knowledge of development standards for accessibility compliance for websites.
• 3 years preferred - Experience as a participant in agile software development teams.
• 3 years preferred - Working knowledge of test automation (Selenium, Load Runner, accessibility testing) and ability to troubleshoot integrations with HP ALM.
• 3 years preferred - Experience in static coding analysis using Sonar Qube or Veracode or similar product.
• 3 years preferred - Working knowledge of responsive/mobile development.
• 2 years preferred - Working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.
• 2 years preferred - Experience with UI test framework Karma, Jasmine, Cucumber, QUnit or similar.
• 2 years preferred - Working knowledge of continuous integration, Jenkins or equivalent.
• 1 year preferred - Working knowledge of DFPS systems/programs such as IMPACT, PACES, PEIRS, NEICE, SSCC, ABCS, Child Placement Portal, and Community Based Care, including Impact 2.0 Phase 2 uses JSP.
