The Role

We are seeking an engineer to join our team that will thrive in a fast‑paced work environment, using effective communication, problem‑solving and prioritization skills. Individuals that are well organized, show great attention to detail, and employ critical thinking are well‑suited for our team.

The Person

This Advanced Micro Devices team is looking for a Senior Linux Software Engineer who can work with OS partners to enable Linux distros on AMD EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs. A team player who collaborates well with other AMD engineering teams to resolve AMD specific functional and performance issues involving AMD CPUs/GPUs and Linux distros. The desired candidate should be willing to take ownership on behalf of AMD and work with the OS partner and AMD internal teams to enable timely resolution.

You will be involved in all areas that impact the team including performance, automation, and development. The right candidate will be informed on the latest trends and prepared to give consultative direction to senior management.

Preferred Experience
  • Exposure to systems architecture
  • Linux kernel and virtualization debugging skills
  • Linux feature backporting and up streaming experience
  • Ability or desire to use AI tools to maximize productivity
  • Experience running, analyzing, and system benchmarks
  • Solid programming skills in Python, C, or C++
Academic Credentials
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
