Senior Engineering Manager - Search & Recommendations Platform

Role Overview:
You will be a technical leader for the Austin-based accelerator team, accountable for adoption and end-to-end impact, including successfully integrating platform capabilities into experiences, running experiments, and landing outcomes with client/brand/product partners.
- Lead and develop high performing engineering teams to deliver complex, scalable technical solutions across multiple domains.
- Drive architecture, system design (including low-level design), API design, and data modeling efforts to support product and platform evolution.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, ensuring reliable and secure delivery and maintenance of services and applications.
- Champion the integration and safe operation of AI/ML enabled solutions that improve business and customer outcomes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, UX, and other engineering teams to align technical delivery with organizational goals.
- Mentor engineers, promote technical growth, and establish best practices to enable team success and technical innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
- Experience owning and delivering technical solutions at service, multi-service, or domain level.
- Proven technical aptitude in system and API design, with experience leading engineering teams.
- Familiarity with AI driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
- Experience designing and operating systems at scale with focus on reliability, performance, and security.
- Strong track record driving architectural decisions and technical strategies across multiple teams or domains.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a culture of data driven decision making and continuous improvement.
- Experience integrating and operating AI/ML enabled solutions that drive measurable impact.
- Advanced proficiency in Kotlin/Java programming.
- Prior experience in search & recommendations or similar domain.
