Job Title

Software Engineer 3 – Austin, TX

Job Summary

Analyze software product requirements and transform them into scalable technical designs using test‑driven development and agile methodologies. Optimize performance settings and threading models for complex software service stacks and fault‑tolerance scenarios. Build fast, scalable applications, interactive dynamic web pages, and enhanced APIs to extract data from multiple sources. Develop automated tests and deliver high‑quality code to production within a short development cycle in a continuous integration and delivery environment.

Maintain and release processes for mobile API components, library updates, and security practices. Design and code solutions that meet documented business and technical requirements. Evaluate production systems to swiftly identify and proactively mitigate technical issues during product development. Design responsive, accessible, and mobile‑friendly user interfaces. Drive architecture discussions, produce well‑documented design docs, and participate in design and code reviews. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

Minimum Requirements

Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in a relevant position.

Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in a relevant position.

Special Skill Requirements
  • Developing and maintaining backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture – 2 years.
  • Designing and building REST APIs – 2 years.
  • Creating and enhancing frontend applications using JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS – 2 years.
  • Leveraging AWS to design and implement cloud‑based solutions – 2 years.
  • Building and automating CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Maven – 2 years.
  • Containerizing applications and managing deployments using Docker – 2 years.
  • Administering and querying databases including No

    SQL systems and IBM DB2 – 2 years.
  • Writing clean, modular code and refactoring using Object‑Oriented Design and Functional Programming principles – 2 years.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining distributed systems that are scalable, fault‑tolerant, and highly available – 2 years.

Location and Remote Work

Paid work location:
Austin, TX. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance. 40 hours per week;
Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

Compensation

Salary: $163,550–$221,500 per annum (based on experience and role location). Additional compensation may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation as applicable.
