Senior Firmware Engineer

We’re working with a well-funded, engineering‑led defense technology startup developing next‑generation autonomous systems designed to operate in highly challenging, real‑world environments.

We’re looking for a Firmware Engineer to play a key role in developing high‑performance embedded systems for advanced electromechanical platforms. You’ll be working on real‑time control software and tightly integrated hardware systems in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.

• Develop real‑time embedded software in C++ for performance‑critical applications
• Design and implement firmware for microcontroller‑based systems
• Interpret datasheets and contribute to schematic design across digital and analog circuits
• Collaborate on system architecture across hardware and software boundaries
• Test, debug, and validate embedded systems in both lab and real‑world environments
• Optimize performance, latency, and power consumption on constrained hardware
• Document designs, architectures, and test procedures

• 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware and electrical design
• Strong C++ experience in real‑time or safety‑critical systems
• Background in microcontroller‑based systems and embedded circuit design
• Experience with hardware bring‑up, testing, and debugging
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
