Job Overview
Software Engineer II (Full‑time) – Austin, TX (Hybrid). Contract duration:
End of the Year (Possible Extension). Rate: $45–55/hr on W2.
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend components for customer service platforms.
- Build and enhance web applications, APIs, workflow systems, and automation solutions.
- Write clean, scalable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and collaborative engineering activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve development and production issues with guidance from senior engineers.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality features.
- Improve application performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support the development of AI‑enabled features, automation workflows, and intelligent customer support solutions.
- Contribute to backend services, REST APIs, and user‑facing web applications.
- Research, design, develop, test, and evaluate software systems and applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of full‑stack software development experience.
- Experience developing enterprise web applications and backend services.
- Strong problem‑solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot or ChatGPT.
- Java or similar backend programming language.
- REST API development and integration.
- SQL databases and data modeling fundamentals.
- Basic understanding of No
SQL databases.
- JavaScript and/or Type Script.
- React, Angular, or similar frontend frameworks.
- Responsive UI development and API integrations.
- Git version control.
- CI/CD pipelines.
- Software testing and debugging methodologies.
- Agile/Scrum development practices.
- Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools.
- Understanding of AI/LLM‑based applications, APIs, automation, and workflow integrations.
- Exposure to chat, summarization, prompt‑based workflows, or AI‑powered features.
- Experience with Spring Boot or similar backend frameworks.
- Familiarity with Docker and cloud environments.
- Understanding of state management frameworks such as Redux.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools.
- Experience with workflow automation platforms.
- Experience integrating LLM‑powered capabilities and AI services into applications.
- Knowledge of scalable distributed systems and modern application architectures.
- Hands‑on Individual Contributor (IC) role.
- Approximately 70–80% coding and development work.
- Approximately 20–30% collaboration, code reviews, planning, and learning.
- Focus on delivering well‑defined features with guidance from senior engineers.
