Cloud Programmer​/Analyst

Location:

AUSTIN, TX

• Supports the PHID ecosystem; plans and executes application releases (45%).
• Performs troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to logging, sequence, escalation, and resolution; prepares application specifications; reviews and evaluates programming efforts (30%).
• Oversees the maintenance of existing applications; monitors the resolution of problems related to software development and maintenance; prepares system-level documentation for staff and users (20%).
• Other duties such as participating in disaster response and continuity of operations (5%).

• Knowledge of software application limitations and capabilities, OWASP fundamentals, Agile methodology, and software development life cycle best practices.
• Knowledge of SNOMED, LOINC, CSS, Amazon Web Services, and project control and cost estimating techniques.
• Skill in Java and Java scripting, MS SQL Server, MS Office Suite, Visio, data analysis, and effective communication.
• Ability to plan, assign, and monitor work of others; analyze systems and procedures; write technical documents; and solve complex problems in a team environment.

Applicants must have 4 years of experience as a Java Developer or 2 years as a Java Developer and either 2 years as a Systems Analyst or Technical Team Lead.

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a field relevant to the assignment preferred; related experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis, up to four (4) years.

Selected candidate must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. This is a hybrid position based in Austin, TX, requiring regular office attendance and willingness to commute as needed.
