Sr. Software Development Engineer, AWS Marketplace

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world‑class support is critical to customer success. We are one of the fastest‑growing teams in AWS, and interface with a diverse internal and external community of software service sellers over a wide variety of technologies, with a rapidly growing audience of buyers from different market segments. AWS Marketplace manages the state‑of‑the‑art complex infrastructure to provide a smooth experience for sellers and buyers to buy various software and services for different domains like infrastructure software, machine learning, and IoT.

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to help the team take AWS Marketplace to the next level. As a Software Development Engineer on the team you will own significant portions of the product and will have influence on our strategy by helping define the next wave of product features and system architecture. You should enjoy working on complex system software, be customer‑centric, and be passionate about building quality software while achieving operational excellence.

A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) is essential. You will own the design and implementation of major deliverables end‑to‑end, collaborate with engineers, principal engineers, product managers and partner teams, and thrive in an environment where priorities shift fast.

• 5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems (design patterns, reliability and scaling)
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary for this position is USD – annually (USA, TX, Austin). Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription), Basic Life & AD&D insurance, and other benefits.
