Sr Manager, Enterprise Systems

Job Summary:

Pay Pal, Inc. seeks a Sr. Manager, Enterprise Systems in Austin, TX. The role leads strategic transformation programs, AI automation, high-performance engineering teams, and multi-platform software design.

• Develop and execute strategic transformation programs and initiatives, including AI automation and intelligent solutions, strategic engineering architecture design, resource allocation, and platform performance monitoring.
• Lead, develop, and grow a high-performance, multi-function team; demonstrate leadership in line with Pay Pal values.
• Build scalable software systems leveraging AI/ML technologies; lead technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Write quality code and build secure, highly available software systems.
• Provide technical leadership and contribute to definition, development, integration, testing, documentation, and support across multiple platforms (Full stack, PySpark, Cloud, GCP, SAP, AI/ML frameworks).
• Establish a consistent software development project management framework and improve delivery processes.
• Drive AI automation initiatives to enhance platform efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and improve business processes.
• Manage cross-functional teams that design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
• Balance production platform stability, software feature delivery, technical debt retirement, and AI-driven optimizations.
• Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

• Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus four years of experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) plus six years of experience.

• Experience with Business Intelligence, reporting, data warehousing, data modeling, and design & development of BI applications (4 years).
• Experience designing and implementing large and complex software platforms across diverse environments (4 years).
• Experience with program languages: PERL, Python, Core Java, and UNIX (4 years).
• Experience with Data Mining (4 years).
• Experience with Project Management (4 years).
• Experience with Data modeling techniques to support complex OLAP & ODS reporting solutions (4 years).
• Experience with Oracle (4 years).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (4 years).

Base salary:
Austin, TX – $–$ per annum
. 40 hours per week; M‑F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional compensation may include annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation.
