Sr Manager, Enterprise Systems

Job Summary

Pay Pal, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Enterprise Systems to work in Austin, TX. The role focuses on developing and executing strategic transformation programs, including AI automation and intelligent solutions, strategic engineering architecture design, resource allocation, and platform performance monitoring in collaboration with the Director of Finance Technologies.

• Lead and grow a high-performance, multi-functional team to advance business goals.
• Build scalable software systems leveraging AI/ML technologies.
• Participate in code reviews and guide the team on engineering best practices.
• Write quality code and build secure, highly available software systems.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple platforms (Full stack, PySpark, Cloud, GCP, SAP, AI/ML frameworks).
• Establish a consistent software development framework and processes to deliver high-quality applications in rapid iterations.
• Drive AI automation initiatives to enhance platform efficiency and reduce operational overhead.
• Manage a cross-functional team that designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
• Lead teams by providing direction, developmental feedback, conduct annual reviews, and participate in compensation decisions.
• Balance platform stability, feature delivery, technical debt retirement, and AI-driven optimizations across diverse technologies.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus four (4) years of relevant experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree in the same field, plus six (6) years of relevant experience.

• Experience with Business Intelligence, reporting, data warehousing, data modeling, and BI application development (4 years).
• Experience designing and implementing large, complex software platforms across diverse environments (4 years).
• Experience with PERL, Python, Core Java, and UNIX (4 years).
• Experience with Data Mining (4 years).
• Experience with Project Management (4 years).
• Experience with data modeling techniques for complex OLAP & ODS reporting solutions (4 years).
• Experience with Oracle (4 years).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (4 years).

• Base salary: $217,568–$273,500 per annum (Austin, TX).
• Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m.–5:00p.m.
• Annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation may apply.
• Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
