We're part of a team that builds and maintains the technology for Netflix’s TV application – the app that redefines how people watch on their TVs. We work closely with designers to produce high‑impact features on a hybrid C++/JavaScript (V8) stack that powers Netflix UI/UX on TVs, streaming devices, and gaming control centers.

We’re searching for a passionate engineer who enjoys tackling unclear problems, has a test‑to‑break mindset, and wants to automate everything possible.

We are a group of specialists who planned the foundations for TV robotization and addressed complex design challenges. Recent upgrades to our application engineering enable faster development cycles on consumer devices—an unprecedented change that brings new opportunities for growth.

• Design scalable solutions for a variety of problems, such as building services to support the new TV update model.
• Create automated tests for user‑interface features on consumer devices.
• Improve developer tool ergonomics to provide a smoother design experience.

• 4+ years of coding experience in JavaScript/Type Script.
• Experience building UIs with React/Preact is a plus but not required.
• Strong understanding of systems administration and web‑browser technologies (REST, Web Sockets, SSE, pub‑sub, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with TDD and testing frameworks such as Chai, Mocha, or similar.
• Test‑driven mindset, focused on building reliable code.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Interest in how web technologies run on embedded devices like smart TVs.
