Overview
  • We are seeking a Technical Lead (Identity and Biometric Solutions) to drive the design and implementation of complex, large‑scale solutions.
  • This role serves as the primary technical authority across projects, working closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, high‑quality solutions aligned with customer requirements.
  • This is a hands‑on technical leadership role focused on solution design and implementation (not coding‑heavy, not people‑management, and not a pure Project Manager position).
Key Responsibilities
  • Bids & Presales
    • Lead the technical engineering components of proposals
    • Ensure solution feasibility (architecture, technology, cost, schedule, constraints)
    • Contribute to Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and engineering planning
    • Approve key engineering deliverables and reviews
    • Support customer demos, workshops, and technical presentations
  • Project Technical Leadership
    • Define and document overall solution architecture and design validation (DVa)
    • Translate customer requirements into functional specifications and interface documentation
    • Own technical design decisions across performance, security, cost, and timelines
    • Lead technical workshops with customers to refine requirements
    • Define integration interfaces (internal systems and customer systems)
    • Review and approve engineering documentation and workload estimates
  • Project Team Leadership
    • Lead technical meetings, reviews, and solution validation sessions
    • Track engineering progress across work packages
    • Drive execution of engineering activities
    • Coordinate integration and verification strategies
    • Identify, manage, and mitigate technical risks
    • Report engineering progress to Project Managers and leadership
    • Present updates to stakeholders and steering committees
Regulatory Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Dual Citizen
  • Must be eligible to obtain post‑hire clearance from CFIUS and the U.S. Department of Treasury
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience
  • Proven experience in technical or project leadership (direct people management not required)
  • Strong background in solution design and system architecture collaboration
  • Experience leading workshops and working with cross‑functional stakeholders
  • Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non‑technical audiences
Technical Environment / Preferred Skills
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Knowledge of Java, .NET, APIs, and databases
  • Background combining software development and solution design
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Blend of technical depth + solutioning mindset
  • Strong customer‑facing skills and ability to present solutions
  • Experience working on end‑to‑end implementations
  • Comfortable operating across multiple projects and stakeholders
  • High level of ownership, initiative, and collaboration.
