Responsibilities- Develop and debug BMC firmware features that support system monitoring, control, health reporting, event logging, and remote management functionality.
- Support platform bring-up and firmware integration across hardware, BIOS, and system software interfaces.
- Analyze BMC-related defects, reproduce issues, gather debug data, and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Assist with validation of BMC functionality, regression testing, and verification of fixes prior to release.
- Collaborate with BIOS, Electrical, Systems, Validation, and other engineering teams to address system management and platform issues.
- Maintain technical documentation, issue tracking updates, and usage information required for project execution and support.
- Contribute to automation, testability, and continuous improvement of firmware development and debug processes where applicable.
- Provide clear communication of technical risks, status, and open issues to the project team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in embedded firmware, BMC development, or related software engineering work.
- Working knowledge of C/C++ and embedded development fundamentals.
- Experience with BMC stacks, system management protocols, or server hardware is required.
- Familiarity with Linux-based environments and platform management concepts is preferred.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills with ability to troubleshoot hardware/software interactions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and effective teamwork across engineering disciplines.
