Senior QA Engineer

Blutic is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with 7+years of software testing experience with hands-on experience with automated testing in testing and maintenance of automation test suites and scripting or programming of automation tests and experience with maintenance and execution of automation test suites is required.

The candidate is responsible for working with product managers, software developers, and other stakeholders to help ensure high quality. This role participants in requirements and design validation, design test cases, and frameworks, and perform regression and exploratory testing.

This is a 100% remote opportunity with 6months project engagement with possibility of extension. The candidate should be willing to work in either of US time zones.

• Deliver quality through automated testing (60%)
• Provide support to product teams to ensure the development of quality deliverables are properly planned and delivered
• Create, modify, and execute comprehensive manual and automated test scripts in a collaborative environment
• Take full responsibility for the bug backlog and ensure bugs are managed as per process
• Define which test cases are suitable/appropriate for automation
• Develop and extend testing frameworks/extensions as needed to support new test cases and applications
• Track and document enhancements and defects discovered while executing test scripts
• Analyze results and develop improvements for future test iterations
• Participate in regression testing to ensure existing features are not impacted (20%)
• Develop proper automated regression tests and maintain existing regression test bed
• Identify impacted features and ensure effected tests are properly executed
• Participate off-hours in release testing and ensure release is properly deployed to production
• Work with customers and stakeholders to document issues reported from the end users (10%)
• Provide input on issues that impact quality, system stability, and performance
• Work with teams to test the fixes for patch releases

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant experience required.
• Experience:
  
  5 years of software testing experience or relevant experience required.
• Must have hands-on experience with automated testing in testing and maintenance of automation test suites. Experience with scripting or programming of automation tests and experience with maintenance and execution of automation test suites is required.
• Must have experience with Selenium web driver.
• Must have experience with testing of APIs using Postman, SoapUI, or Rest Assured.
