Principal Systems Engineer – Advanced Airborne Radio Frequency Department
Raytheon (RTX) is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead firmware development, integration, and performance testing for Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The role focuses on Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) capability development.
Responsibilities- Support firmware development and integration for Electronic Systems (ES) and Electronic Assemblies (EA) performance.
- Lead government Electronic Warfare performance testing.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all firmware development and debugging activities for Electronic Assemblies (EA).
- Determine product or system requirements based on customer information and provide traceability for these requirements.
- Capture requirements in specifications, interface control documents, and other related documentation.
- Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Electronic Warfare, radar systems design, and requirements engineering. - Active and transferable U.S. Secret security clearance required; U.S. citizenship required.
- Preferred:
Active DoD Top Secret clearance and investigation within five years. - Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Cameo Enterprise Architecture (SysML), digital thread concepts, and Dev Sec Ops .
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to gather necessary information and data for reports and presentations.
- Proficiency in modeling and simulation, agile Dev Sec Ops delivery pipelines, software development principles, and Digital Thread realization.
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink, DOORS, DNG, Cameo, Jira, Confluence.
- Earned Value Management / Cost Account Management experience.
Salary range: USD 107,500 – 204,500, depending on experience and qualifications.
