About the Role
Crowd Strike is seeking a Senior‑to‑Principal Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for our NG‑SIEM Product Group. In this role, you will own building and ensuring the proper operation of the distributed test and release automation that guarantees the quality of our platform.
About the ProductNG‑SIEM is a cloud‑native, real‑time security information and event management solution that scales to billions of events per day, delivering advanced analytics, automated workflows and real‑time visibility to help organizations detect and respond to threats quickly.
LocationThis position is hybrid, on‑site in Austin, TX, with the expectation to be in the office 2–3 times per week.
What You’ll Do- Lead the design and development of scalable and efficient automated testing architecture
- Build and guide the end‑to‑end release automation for all releasable entities
- Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, release management teams and stakeholders across the organization
- Act as a technical and thought leader for quality assurance practices
- Thrive in a hands‑on coding environment, leading by example in crafting solutions with the big picture in mind
- Navigate and manage ambiguity while delivering innovative solutions
- Experience building, planning, and executing medium‑term product goals, balancing short‑term delivery needs with long‑term objectives
- Extensive experience in software testing and quality assurance focused on test automation
- Proven track record designing and implementing large‑scale test automation frameworks
- Expert‑level proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, or C#
- Experience with testing tools and best practices such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and Cucumber
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Lab CI, Azure Dev Ops)
- In‑depth knowledge of testing methodologies: behavior‑driven, functional, performance, unit, security, contract, etc.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of SDETs
- Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision‑making, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency
- Experience with large‑scale log management products handling double‑digit petabytes per day
- Exposure to or experience with cybersecurity products
- Experience with Go, Kafka, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and Jenkins

The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $160,000 – $250,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
